F&F Style: Swapped and Altered Jumpsuit

Hey Friends!

F&F Style is back with a new post! Today, I’m showing you how I styled a jumpsuit I got from a swap party. If you’re new to the term ‘swapping’, it’s when you take an item you don’t want and trade it for something someone else is swapping out. It’s the only thing that beats thrifting!

Swapped Jumpsuit1Jumpsuit: Swapped- $0

Clutch: Must Ministries- $2

Earrings: Goodwill

Shades: Versona- $10

Shoes: Shoedazzle (“Kaya”)- $40

Lipstick: J.Cat Beauty (Grapes)- $1

Swapped Jumpsuit2The jumpsuit originally had long sleeves which I thought was way too much. I looked like a walking bed spread! I simply cut the sleeves off which made a world of difference. I wanted to keep the focus on the jumpsuit so I kept the accessories minimal with a pair of studs and clutch.

ShoedazzleThese sky-high heels, “Kaya”, are from Shoedazzle. They have a lot of options to choose from at reasonable prices. Besides, when you’re saving so much money on clothes you can splurge on other things. (Excuse the blurry pic. I had a 10-year-old photographer today :) )

Swapped Jumpsuit3*Intermediate/Advanced Thrift Tip: Look beyond the original piece and see if there’s any way it could be altered to fit your style.

Have you thought about altering something in your closet? Start off with something simple like I did!

One last thing: I did my own Marley twists! Y’all just don’t know how excited I am about this. I spent a lot of time on it, but I saved a lot of $$$!
