Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending Tastemaker Magazine’s Bloggers in Fashion+Beauty (BFAB) Awards. I was nominated for the Best Style Thrifter Award. Yay! I didn’t win, but I was excited for the bloggers who did.
For the ceremony, I decided to pair a couple of items from this thrifting haul! Check out the details below:
Leather Skirt: Value Village- $6.49
Braided Necklace: Walmart- $8
Shoes: Shoe Land- $11 (part of an old BOGO Half Off sale)
The skirt has an asymmetrical peplum thing going on which proves that fashion trends always come back around. If you’re lucky, you can score a piece that reflects the original trend or shows a different spin on it.
When you go thrifting, just grab pieces that stand out to you. It doesn’t matter if you you’re not wearing it immediately because you’ll eventually find another piece that you can pair it with. That is how this ensemble came to be!
I paired the crop top with this high-waist skirt simply because there was NO way I would wear it with my entire stomach showing. Maybe I could pull it off I were in slightly better shape. At this present time, not happening
