Adventures in Shopping: My Thrifted Spring Haul

Hola Chicas!

I missed you all. I’ve just been out in the streets enjoying the warm weather here in Atlanta. Today I’ll be sharing my thrifting haul for the spring. As you know, I get the majority of my thrift finds from Value Village on the last Wednesday of the month because that’s when everything is 50% off. I also got a few pieces from other places. Let’s take a look at what I scored:

Turquoise Dress from Value VillageDress: Value Village $8.49 $4.24

Teal Dress from Value VillageOff the Shoulder Dress: Value Village $3.49 $1.74

See how I wore it here!

Romper from StyleisSheRomper: Style Is She- $12.50 (I plan to cut off the sleeves)

Pink Plaid from Value VillagePlaid Shirt: Value Village- $3.49 $1.74

Overall Dress from Value VillageOverall Dress: Value Village- $6.49 $3.24

So I often get asked how to find “cute” items at the thrift store. Seriously, all I do is look for items that have bright colors and/or have patterns. If the item is no where near my size, I leave it alone. Let’s be honest, I’m not going to get anything altered. Another approach to thrifting is to pull inspiration from bloggers. Find an outfit  you want to recreate and thrift similar pieces. Whatever you decide, just remember that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to look good. Be patient when thrifting and eventually you’ll become an expert!
