Double Duty: 2 New Ways to Use Your Cheap Conditioner

Hey Friends!

Do you have that one product in your beauty arsenal that you know you’ll use for years to come? I do! I absolutely love Tresemme Luxurious Moisture Conditioner. When I tell you it is one of my Holy Grail beauty products, I’m SO serious about this creamy crack. Yes, creamy crack is a term to describe hair relaxers, but I’m stealing the term and using it for my conditioner. #sorrynotsorry! We go back since 2008 and over time I’ve figured out other ways to maximize the use of this product.

1. Use as a Spray to Moisturize Curls, Braids, Twists and Refresh Wigs:

This is one of my favorite hair products because I can add or subtract the ingredients as I please. Most times I simply fill a spray bottle a little more than halfway with water, put in a few generous squirts of conditioner and a teaspoon or two of olive oil then shake it up. (During the holiday season I add about 10-15 drops of peppermint oil!) I use this anytime my hair or protective style get really dry and need to be refreshed. I even use it to refresh wigs! (Omit the olive oil for wigs.) *Since this spray is water based, it’s definitely curly-girl friendly. Don’t use it if you have recently straightened your hair. No really, don’t do it!*

 2. Use as an Alternative to Shaving Cream:

Have you ever gotten ready to shave but ran out of shaving cream? Tresemme to the rescue! I tried this and it worked like a charm. It feels really moisturizing and creamy when you put it on  and my legs actually feel smoother when I shave with this conditioner! (Be careful, because your shower floor can get slippery if you’re heavy-handed like I am!)
