Adventures in Shopping: The $30 Hair Care Regimen Matrix

Hey Dolls!

I’m excited about this post because it is all about hair care! Now we all know whether you’re relaxed or natural, caring for your hair requires that you use products to maximize your hair’s health. We also know that buying hair products can get extremely pricey extremely fast due to the tons of options out there. At one point I had a shelf full of shampoos, a cabinet full of conditioners and a drawer full of oils. Can you say product junkie?! There’s no telling how much I’ve spent over the years, but I did realize that I needed to scale back considerably and keep it simple. Amen?

Speaking of keeping it simple, I’ve created the Flyy and Frugal $30 Hair Care Regimen Matrix to help you keep your hair on point, product stash minimal and dollars in check. Pick a shampoo, conditioner, styler and oil from each category and voilà, you’re covered!

Now let’s get to it:

We have to keep our hair and scalp clean and free of product build-up. Choose a shampoo!

Here are the products I chose to create a Flyy and Frugal hair care regimen.

Reeses Hair Care Regimen Choice

Creme of Nature’s Argan Oil Moisture and Shine Shampoo is in my regimen because my hair craves moisture. I’m rockin’ with the Pantene Pro-V Truly Natural Hair Deep Conditioner because I can use it as a co-wash, add oils and honey to do a deep treatment, and dilute it with water to make it a leave-in conditioner. 3 uses for one product is definitely ‘Flyy and Frugal! Coconut oil is also in my regimen because of its’ super healthy benefits for your hair. Google it! Lastly, I’m going for Beautiful Textures Moisture Butter Whipped Curl Creme because I looove the way it feels on my hair as well as how it moisturizes and defines my curls with a soft hold.

So how about it? Are you planning to declutter your cabinets and simplify your product stash? Or maybe you’re new to creating a hair care regimen and don’t  want to spend half of a paycheck to do so? I kid! Just know that you can manage to have fab tresses with plenty of money left over. Remember, you can look and live FLYY…FRUGALLY!
